Windows Server 2025 Standard is built for physical servers and lightly virtualised setups, such as file servers, domain controllers, print servers and application servers. This 16-core licence is RM3,360.00 (reference price RM4,800.00).
Standard or Datacenter?
Standard allows up to two virtual machines per fully licensed host. If you plan to run many virtual machines, compare it with Windows Server 2025 Datacenter.
Licensing basics
Windows Server is licensed per core, with a minimum of 16 core licences per server. Client access licences (CALs) for the users or devices that connect are bought separately.
Avoid common mistakes
